30 New COVID Cases Confirmed on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 155 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 83,987. Five new COVID-related fatalities were also reported.
A total of 30 new infections were identified on the Big Island Friday. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reported 414 active cases, and 13 persons hospitalized.
The state’s seven-day average is now 123 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2%.

A total of 4,710 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 896 have died.
