100 New Cases on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 731 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 67,509. ten new COVID-related deaths were reported.
A total of 100 new infections were identified on the Big Island Sunday.
The state’s two-week average is now 725 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.2%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 47,403
Maui: 7,910
Hawai‘i: 8,226
Kaua‘i: 1,476
Moloka‘i: 166
Lana‘i: 134
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,194
A total of 3,675 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 624 have died.
