Governor Ige Traveling Out of State

Hawai‘i Gov. David Ige is traveling out of state to spend time with his family and to recharge following a strenuous few months leading up to the primary election.
The governor is scheduled to depart Hawai‘i on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and return on Sunday, Aug. 19.
During the governor’s absence, Lt. Gov. Doug Chin will serve as acting governor from Aug. 14 until Aug. 16 when he travels out of the state. Attorney General Russell Suzuki will serve as acting governor while Lt. Gov. Chin is traveling.
Gov. Ige returns to Hawai‘i on Aug. 19.
