Hawaiian Airlines Top-Ranked for Timeliness
A report released this month rating airline performance revealed that Hawaiian Airlines is the top-ranked carrier for on-time performance for 2014 and 2013. The local airline’s involuntary denied boarding performance also ranked among the best.
The local carrier showed some decline in 2015 for timeliness, according to the study. Customer complaints improved over last year’s rating with 0.89 complaints per 100,000 passengers. Mishandled baggage was estimated at 2.20 per 1,000 passengers, which improved over 2013.
Hawaiian Airlines’ Airline Quality Rating score for 2014 was rated second based, trailing Virgin America. It was also one of only three airlines to improve its score from 2014.
The study, called the Airline Quality Rating 2015, was compiled by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Wichita State University.
