Big Island businesses and individuals with locally made products have until Wednesday, July 31, to apply for the “Get it on the Shelf” program at Walmart.
Online entries must be received by 5:59 p.m. HST, (11:59 p.m. EDT) on July 31.
Finalists will be selected to continue to the audition round next month. Come autumn, finalists of the audition round will be featured in an original web series where people across the country will vote on which products should be sold at Walmart.
Winners will have their products featured on Walmart.com and grand champions will receive additional marketing support.

Entrepreneurs wishing to participate in the contest must submit a short video featuring their item.
There is no limit to the number of products that can be entered. Last year, Walmart received more than 4,000 submissions to the contest.
Walmart officials are particularly interested in products and items related to babies, technology, pets, home and toys. Food items are not accepted.
