#third-degree promoting a detrimental drug

Charges against 39-year-old Joshua Allen Sheen of Kurtistown stem from an incident Monday morning, when a 29-year-old woman walked into the Hilo Police Station and reported being involved in an earlier domestic argument in which Sheen allegedly threw a bowl at her, striking her forehead and causing her pain.

42-year-old George-David Summers was arrested Nov. 8 after Hawai‘i Police Department officers executed a search warrant on the vehicle he was driving on Government Beach Road and recovered a loaded .22-caliber semi-automatic rifle, 16-plus grams of methamphetamine and more.

The combined street value of the fentanyl, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana found in a rental vehicle being operated by one of the men is more than $54,000.
