All Honoka‘a Schools Closed Due to Power Outage

Due to power outage, the Department of Education reports that Honoka‘a High School, Honoka‘a Middle School, and Honoka‘a Elementary School will be closed today.

Be Prepared for Extended Periods of Power Disruption

Hawaii Electric Light is advising customers to be prepared for extended periods of power disruption due to the hazardous weather conditions.  

Outage Disrupts Power to 4,500 East Hawai‘i Residents

The Hawai‘i Electric Company has confirmed reports of power outages throughout East Hawai‘i beginning around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018.

Hawai‘i Electric Continues to Restore Service

About 100 customers remain without power, primarily in the Ainaloa, Hawaiian Beaches, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Nanawale and Orchidland subdivisions.
