Kunia Hassard, 37, was charged Monday afternoon with multiple counts of assault and a single count of theft.

On Tuesday at approximately 11:33 p.m., Hawai‘i Island police responded to a call about a weapons incident behind a business in the 300 block of East Maka‘ala Street. When officers arrived on scene they encountered a 44-year-old woman with a laceration to her arm and 52-year-old man with a puncture wound to his stomach.
