Juliette is moving toward the WNW near 13 mph and is forecast to turn westward on Saturday, and it should continue moving westward through early next week.

A small, well-defined low-pressure system quickly developed late yesterday and early this morning over the far western portion of the eastern North Pacific.

Hurricane Iselle Continues on Track Toward Hawaiʻi

The system was located about 1,245 miles east of Hilo, and 1,345 miles ESE of Kahului this morning, and was moving west at 10 mph. The system has sustained winds of 140 mph and is expected to move into the Central Pacific sometime on Tuesday.
