High Surf Warning in Effect for Big Island’s N & E Shores
The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a High Surf Warning, which is in effect until 6 a.m. Jan. 10 for east-facing shores of the Big Island.
UPDATE: Beaches/Parks Reopen
Following a recommendation from Hawai‘i County Ocean Safety, the DLNR Division of State Parks today closed some beach areas.
UPDATE 2: High Surf Warning Downgraded to Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Warning for the West-facing shores of Kohala, Kona and Ka‘u through Thursday, Jan.
