#Downed Power Lines

County, state and utility crews have spent the day working to restore power and clear roads after a cold front Monday swept the Big Island, bringing with it rain, wind and thunderstorms.

Some Puna residents could face extended power outages after this weekend’s windy weather toppled trees and power lines.

All major roadways around the island are open following a wind storm that knocked down trees and power lines. Pohoiki Road in Puna, however, remains closed.
