Calla Renata Grace Mae Weddington, 34 of Pāhoa, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses that include inflicting minor knife wounds on a female 9-year-old and brandishing a knife at a Hawaiʻi Island police officer.
24-year-old critically injured in hit-and-run by Ford F-150 pickup truck in South Kona
A 24-year-old man from Captain Cook suffered critical injuries on Saturday from a hit-and-run collision on Highway 11, near the 110-mile marker in South Kona in the area of Arthur Greenwell Park.

Rilson Rodrigues, 44 of Ocean View, was arrested and charged with a series of offenses, including attempted murder, following a domestic dispute on April 2 in Ocean View during which he fired a rifle multiple times at a 40-year-old woman trying to escape in a car.
