3 locations available where fireworks permits can be purchased for 4th of July celebrations

Permits can be purchased through 8 p.m. July 4 for $25 by those 18 years old and older at TNT Tents in Hilo, Kona and Keaʻau.

Fireworks permits now available for New Year’s Eve celebrations

Fireworks sales began Thursday and end at midnight New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. Permits are not required for novelties and paperless firecrackers.
