Young Hawaiian Monk Seal Released Back Into Wild

A young Hawaiian monk seal was successfully released back to the ocean after spending more than two months at Kailua-Kona's Marine Mammal Center Ke Kai Ola for malnutrition and maternal separation. In the video, the seal named ʻEleu explores her rehabilitation pool pen at Ke Kai Ola, The Marine Mammal Center’s hospital and visitor center in Kailua-Kona that is dedicated to the endangered marine mammal.
