Parker School presents Love Fest 2024 - a benefit event for the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation on Friday March 8th at the Parker School Upper/Middle campus in Waimea, Hawaii.

Love Fest will feature live music from The Honokaa Jazz Band, Nancy Boy and El Sancho, in addition to student performances. 

The event kicks off at 3pm with a performance from the Honokaa Jazz Band, followed by  Nancy Boy and El Sancho. 

There will be food trucks, face painting and other fun activities during Love Fest. Admission is $5 for kids, $10 for adults, and all are welcome to attend. The event runs from 3-6pm.

About the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation:

The Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential equipment and training to the Hawai'i Island Fire Department who serves the Hawai'i community, and more than 1.5 million visitors per year from around the world.  

Over 30 million dollars in donations and pledged equipment have been raised since its inception in 1997.  100% of our donations go to funding rescue equipment and training vital to saving lives. More information can be found at https://www.danielsayrefoundation.org/

About El Sancho:

El Sancho is a fast, fun DIY punk rock band from the Big Island. They perform regularly across the Hawaiian Islands and have performed alongside notable bands like the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Agent Orange, FEAR, Supersuckers and many more. Their 3rd album, Heads Up!, was released on vinyl in 2023 and they are currently working on their 4th album. Details about the band can be found on their website. 

About Nancy Boy:

Nancy Boy – getting their title from the Placebo song of the same name – is a transsexual hardcore band from Hilo. The young, energetic band, featuring Envy Burbank, Tiger Jaw, Alex Adair and Memphis Savage, have been performing on island since 2023. Learn more about Nancy Boy on their Instagram page. 

About The Honokaa Jazz Band:

The Grammy award winning, Nā Hōkū nominee Honoka'a Jazz Band is a group of advanced high school musicians who uphold a long tradition of excellence on the Big Island of Hawai'i since 1978. The band, under the direction of Gary Washburn, is considered one of the states' top High School Bands. 

Parker School is located at 65-1224 Lindsey Road in Waimea.
