Resolution 449 affirms the council’s commitment to seek and promote peace, diplomacy and civil discourse while demonstrating the values of understanding, cooperation and peaceful co-existence with aloha and supports the United Nations’ International Day for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Awareness.
