Warrant Sweep in Hilo Yields 10 Arrests

Ten fugitives were arrested following an interagency warrant sweep conducted in Hilo Tuesday, May 24.

Hawai‘i Police Department, Hawai‘i State Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Land and Natural Resources worked together to perform the sweep. The suspects arrested had a total of 21 outstanding warrants ranging from contempt of court to violating conditions of bail to parole revocation.

The seven men and three women arrested are all Hilo residents and include:

Police ask anyone with any information relative to the whereabouts of other wanted fugitives to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 808-961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
