WORKSHOP: Creative Exploration in Wood Turning

The Hawai’i Forest Industry Association and Kamuela Hardwoods is hosting the Creative Exploration in Wood Turning workshop with Aaron Hammer from July 15 to 18, 2019, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

This intensive four-day workshop is designed for six people who would like to develop a significant and comprehensive understanding of the lathe and how to turn wood. The class will be a hands-on experience with each student having their own lathe to work on.

No previous experience is necessary to take the class. Minimum age for attendees is 16. Students will take home several completed projects which may include; a carving mallet, votive light, wooden pen, bottle stopper, corkscrew, spin top, and a bowl. All tools, materials, safety equipment and wood will be provided. Class is limited to six students.
