Looking Ahead

Hurricane Hector will be passing far south enough of the Big Island at this point such that tropical storm conditions will not be affecting that island. Thus the tropical storm warning for the Big Island has been cancelled. But then tropical storm conditions are still expected for the south Big Island waters and a tropical storm warning continues for those waters. In fact, winds at the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are strong enough to warrant a wind advisory for those areas until midnight.
