Mauna Kea Resort has announced “Table 65,” a new and ongoing initiative effective Sunday, July 15, 2018, that will support Island of Hawai‘i nonprofit organizations.
Each month the signature restaurants at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, will donate a portion of the revenue from “Table 65” to a designated nonprofit organization.

Guests may make a reservation at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel’s Manta restaurant or The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort’s Meridia restaurant and request Table 65, which will be on a first-come, first-served basis at each restaurant. Diners will receive a 20% discount on their total food and beverage. At the end of each month Mauna Kea Resort will add up all discounts applied to Table 65 at both restaurants and donate a portion of that amount to that month’s nonprofit.
“We didn’t invent this idea, but we love the concept and the ease of raising funds for charitable organizations in our community,” explained Mauna Kea Resort food and beverage director Wendle Lesher. “Patrons can eat well and feel good about supporting a great cause. It’s a definite win-win.” Lesher added that the number 65 is a nod to the founding of Mauna Kea Resort in 1965.

July’s beneficiary will be the American Cancer Society who is also the beneficiary of The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort’s grand opening gala on July 14.
Guests interested in participating in the Table 65 program should make advanced reservations by calling (808) 882-5707 for Manta or (808) 880-1111 for Meridia and request Table 65. Party size is limited to a maximum of six.
