Presentations by several County of Hawai’i Departments are on the schedule for a Miloli’i Village “Fight the Bite” dengue fever community update meeting.
On Jan. 14, the Miloli’i Village community is invited to the Miloli’i Beach Park Halau from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for updates from the County of Hawai’i Office of the Mayor, County of Hawai’i Civil Defense, Hawai’i Police Department Community Policing Officer, Hawai’i County Fire Department, State of Hawai’i Department of Land and Natural Resources, Miloli’i Community Emergency Response Team, District Six Councilwoman Maile David, and Pa’a Pono Miloli’i.
Following the formal presentations, a question and answer segment will take place.

A Hawaiian beef stew and rice dinner will be available for community members. Dessert and refreshments will also be served.
In efforts to “Fight The Bite,” mosquito coils and repellent is scheduled to be distributed to each head of household.
On Dec. 25, Miloli‘i and the Honomalino Bay areas were closed as the area was determined by County, Hawai’i Department of Health, and Department of Land and Natural Resources officials to be a hot spot in the dengue fever outbreak.
