Big Island police today said that an autopsy performed on a Montana man found floating at a Kona beach park a week ago determined that he died of cardiac arrest.

Edward Woyciehowicz was pulled from the water by a lifeguard at Kahalu‘u Beach Park on April 10.

Attempts to resuscitate the 68-year-old man from Missoula were unsuccessful and he was taken to Kona Community Hospital where he was declared dead.
