Queen’s North Hawai‘i Community Hospital has unveiled a range of scholarships for Hawai‘i Island students eyeing careers in healthcare.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa School of Travel Industry Management is celebrating its 60th anniversary with plans to continue teaching future leaders in travel and hospitality.

The 2026 Hope Scholarship will award 60 incoming Hawaiʻi college freshmen as part of outreach to support development of future leaders.

Samantha Oliveira Gasmen Goodman of Hilo is among the 22 dental or dental hygiene students to receive a scholarship this year from the Hawaʻi Dental Service Foundation.

The scholarship will be awarded to five incoming University of Hawai‘i freshmen this year, majoring in travel industry management.

Local sponsors step forward each year to create scholarships that reflect their own values, journeys and hopes for the next generation — and 2026 marks the program’s most generous year yet.

Annual University of Hawai‘i at Hilo Athletics fundraiser kicked off Sept.16 and runs through Oct. 16; contributions collected support student-athlete scholarships, training and travel.

Virtual and in-person workshops are available for students in need of assistance with college planning and scholarship applications in November.

Two winners have been advanced to compete for additional awards and scholarships at the district and international levels of Zonta.

Two $2,000 scholarships are available to West Hawaiʻi graduating seniors who meet requirements.

Applications are open now through June 15. Awardees will be notified in July.

The students were among a total of 59 from throughout Hawaiʻi, one student from each of the state’s qualifying public and independent schools, awarded financial assistance through the foundation’s annual Legacy Scholarship Program.

Hawai‘i State FCU will award $5,000 scholarships to 20 deserving Hawai‘i students planning to attend a fully accredited university, college, or trade/vocational school.

The Hawai‘i Dental Service Foundation established the Hawai‘i Dental Service Community Scholarship Program in 2018.

Eligible applicants include those students from a single-parent household, student-athletes and individuals with aspirations of becoming a pilot.

The Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce is asking the community for donations to its scholarship fund at the Pauahi Foundation.

The club is offering a total of $15,000 this year to support women on the Big Island in their chosen fields of study or work.
