Five of the graduates will work at Hawaiʻi Community Correctional Center with the other four being posted at Kulani Correctional Facility; the class is the seventh to graduate from recruit training this year.

Basic Corrections Recruit Class 25-03 was the third class to graduate from recruit training this year. It also is the first recruit class to graduate on a neighbor island.

Graduates of Hawaiʻi Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s Basic Corrections Recruit Class 25-01 are beginning their careers in facilities throughout the state after completing 8 weeks of training that included more than 300 hours of classroom instruction and physical training.

31-year-old Clyde T. Loa and 41-year-old Kawai J. Pomroy are still at large after reportedly escaping Dec. 13 from the Hawaiʻi Community Correctional Center reintegration facility.
