LIVE Flooding Update with Meteorologist Malika Dudley

LIVE Flooding Update with Meteorologist Malika Dudley Much improved radar as we wake up this morning. The NWS says, “The disturbance will linger near the islands for another day or so then fall apart, keeping winds light. Airmass is still moist and somewhat unstable, so clouds and showers will affect the state at times, especially during the afternoon and evening as sea breezes may develop over the islands later today. Believe the threat of heavy rain has diminished thus the Flood Watch has been cancelled. No other flood alerts are posted at this time. Trade winds will return Thursday through the weekend, with a drier airmass spreading across the islands.” • • Happy Halloween everyone! Leeward (Kona side) and interior areas will have the highest likelihood of developing those afternoon pop up showers so you may still want to keep that umbrella handy. The NWS forecast also calls for “numerous Windward showers”. I’ll watch the radar this afternoon and let you know if anything develops. It will be muggy so I hope your costumes aren’t too bulky 😉 #hiwx #hawaii #happyhalloween #halloweenforecast Weather alerts: BigIslandNow.com
