Youth: Exploring Art with Emily Sundberg

Donkey Mill Art Center, 78-6670 Mamalahoa Hwy. Holualoa

Every Friday @ 10 a.m.–noon
Schedule: Fridays, February 10 - May 5 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Level: Ages 6-12

This 12 class journey is designed for homeschool students to explore the fundamentals of drawing, painting with watercolor, sculpting with wire, photography, and collograph printmaking. Every two weeks students will focus on one of these mediums through observing the works of various artists such as Pablo Picasso, David Hockney, Alexander Calder, Robert Longo, Paul Klee and Katsushika Hokusai. Students will discover new things about themselves by using their imagination and new techniques to express their ideas and feelings. At the end, they will see the evolution of themselves through the art they created.
