A Mothers’ Day Brunch featuring BBQ steak and vegetarian quiche plates will be offered in Kea’au from noon to 3 PM on May 13, Mothers Day. The event will also feature a puppet show, kids’ games, and music at the Girl Scout Center at 16-105 Opukahaia St., adjacent to the Eagles Club and across Hwy. 130 from the Hawaii Humane Society. Tickets are $10, presale only, and available by calling Kalia Avery at (808) 936-7594 or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org. The BBQ steak meals will include rice, a vegetable, and mac salad while the vegetarian plate will offer vegetarian quiche and a Hawaiian fruit salad.
Entertainment will include music by Anthony Garza and a puppet show by Pa’ani Puppets. “The Runaway Bunny” adapted from a story by Margaret Wise Brown, and “The Little Brute Family,” adapted from a story by Lillian and Russell Hoban, will be featured, according to puppeteer RoxAnne Lawson.
The brunch is a fundraiser for Dist. 4 Democratic Party members attending the Hawaii Democratic Party Convention May 25-27.Share this Event:
