Early Signs Health Fair to Offer Free Health Services

The community is invited to attend the 19th Annual Early Signs Health on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Life Care Center of Hilo. The free educational event will offer free screening services by local providers, agencies and individual practitioners, as well as health and wellness activity demonstrations.

The exams services will include retinal scans, foot exams, oral screenings, bone density checks, blood sugar tests, blood pressure checks and medication reviews.

Local physicians will be giving health presentations throughout the day, in addition to a variety of healthcare education and information booths. Activity demonstrations are scheduled to include hula, folk dancing, ballroom dancing, belly dancing, Japanese dancing, Zumba, Tai Chi and Karate.
