Aunty Mimi's Astro-Bash!

Come explore the mysteries of cold space at the Hilo Public Library when Aunty Mimi’s Astro-Bash rolls into town!

The Astro-Bash is not your typical classroom lecture. Instead, imagine hands on explorations of how outer space connects to extreme temperatures. A chance to express science concepts as art. And a live science show bursting with just as much entertainment as education. The Astro-Bash will be a perfect combination of exploration, application, learning, excitement and just plain fun. With Aunty Mimi leading the Bash, its gonna be a blast!

Who: Keiki and families of all ages welcomes.
When: Wednesday, January 11th.
Hands on science activities 4:30 - 5:30 pm, lives science show 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
What: Frozen Science Fun for the Whole Family
Where: The Hilo Public Library
Why: To explore, engage, create and celebrate frozen science as community!

This is a collaboration between Gemini Observatory, The Submillimeter Array and The Hilo Public Library as part of Journey Through the Universe. Please contact the Hilo Public Library at (808) 933-8890 at least 15 days before the event if a sign language interpreter or other accommodations are needed.
