Kids can make, glaze and fire their very own earthenware clay in this after school workshop. These simple clay forms turn into possibilities for discovery of shape, texture and color. Instructor Lisa Louise will demonstrate engineering techniques that are important in working and firing clay successfully. Kids will get to experience the tactile nature of clay and how it accepts textures. They’ll also develop imagination and motor skills; it’s fun and learning rolled into one!
Two sessions are scheduled: Ages 9–12 on Tuesdays starting August 9 and ages 6–9 on Wednesdays starting Aug. 10. Both are scheduled from 2:30–4pm. Cost for the six week workshop is $55/$50 VAC members plus a $15 materials fee. Share this Event:
