Civil Defense: Little Effect Locally From Chilean Earthquake

With little effect on Hawaii’s shores from the Chilean earthquake, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center cancelled the tsunami advisory at 7:25 a.m. today.

UPDATE: Tsunami Advisory Issued Warning of Strong Currents

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no significant tsunami is expected from the Chilean earthquake, but strong currents could be generated.
