Big Island police are investigating an incident last week in which three men allegedly cut their way through a gate in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision and fired some gunshots as they were being chased off by the homeowner.

Police said the suspects were in a silver-colored older-model pickup truck.

They were described as local males, approximately 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 in height. No identifying marks or tattoos were observed.

Police said the incident happened at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, July 26.

Anyone with information on the suspects or the vehicle involved is asked to contact Det. Grant Todd at 961-2385 or [email protected] or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
