A 44-year-old Puna man was arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged marijuana-growing operation in Hawaiian Paradise Park.
Edward Fuhrmann was charged with two counts of first-degree promotion of marijuana, one count of attempted first-degree promotion of marijuana and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police armed with a search warrant Wednesday seized 145 pot plants growing outside a home on H Street and in a shed that had been converted to an indoor-growing room.
Police also recovered about three-quarters of a pound of dried marijuana from the shed and 13.3 pounds of dried processed marijuana packaged in 28 plastic bags from inside the house.
Another 45 marijuana plants were found growing on a vacant lot on 8th Avenue, police said.
Fuhrmann was released after posting bail in the amount of $36,000.
