The Hawai‘i Small Business Development Center will present “How To Write A Business Plan” on Thursday, July 25, at their Kona office located at the Kuakini Tower, 75-5722 Kuakini Hwy, Suite 213.

Registration starts at 2:30 p.m. with the seminar running from 3 to 5 p.m.

Participants will learn how to develop a business plan or revise an existing one with step-by-step instructions. The session will include business plan financials.

Having a business plan demonstrates to investors that an entrepreneur has done their market research and researched the viability of a proposed business. Banks usually want to review a business plan before providing funding for a new business.

Writing a business plan is beneficial because it enables a prospective business owner to lay out all the steps necessary to achieve their business goals. It also helps to evaluate the company’s readiness to meet market conditions.

The class will be taught by Nancy Ginter-Miller, a business consultant with the Kona SBDC office.

Ginter-Miller has held senior management positions at Hilton International, Westin Hotels and the Rosewood Group. Her area of expertise includes agritourism, as well as the marketing, packaging and placement of Hawaii farm products.
