The second of two public meetings on the establishment of day-mooring buoys in Hilo Bay will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.

The meeting will be held at the first-floor conference rooms A and B at the Aupuni State Building.

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources is seeking public input on proposed locations of the moorings.

Boaters, fishers, commercial dive operators and other ocean users who frequent Hilo Bay, and especially Blonde Reef, are urged to attend.

The public input is being sought to coordinate the bay’s multiple users.
