Hawaiʻi Island police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding any persons responsible for four thefts of coffee parchment from companies in Kaʻū.
Three thefts occurred on a property next to Wood Valley Road, where unknown persons have stolen 1,300 pounds of coffee parchment in the last two weeks.
A fourth incident occurred on Saturday, February 2 on a property on Kaalaiki Cane Haul Road. In that instance, approximately 1,000 pounds of coffee parchment was stolen.
In total, thieves have removed a total of $21,700 worth of product.

Police are reminding the public that it is illegal to be in possession of stolen property. Authorities are asking that anyone with information on these incidents call Officer Dane Shibuya at 939-2520.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
