Songs are written and sung about it, people cry and bond over it.

Beer, brew, brewski or suds, whatever you call it, will be poured, tasted, judged and swallowed in copious amounts during the 18th annual Kona Brewers Fest on March 9.

The Pa’ina is a dining experience under the stars from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort. Live entertainment and great food and beer pairing will lead participants happily into the main event on March 9.

This year, the brewfest will have up to 70 types of ales and lagers along with gastronomic creations from 30 island restaurants and their chefs.

For four hours, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., enjoy gourmet food, live entertainment, trash fashion show, and craft beers.
