UPDATE: Highway 11 Reopened After Brushfire

Big Island police said both lanes of Highway 11 between the 45- and 46-mile markers are now open.

One of the lanes had been closed shortly before 11 a.m. today because of a small brush fire. It was reopened about two hours later.
