BIIF Boys Volleyball Tournament Update – April 28

It was an easy afternoon and evening for higher seeded squads at the Big Island Interscholastic Federation boys volleyball championships at Onizuka Gym in Kealakakua.

In Division I, top seeds Kamehameha-Hawaii and Waiakea advanced in straight sets over their opponents, setting up an all-Warrior final Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Kamehameha-Hawaii defeated Kealakehe 25-13, 25-18, 25-18, while Waiakea knocked off Hilo 25-16, 25-8, 25-9.

In Division II, Kohala and Hawaii Prep will meet up on Saturday for the championship after their wins Friday. Kohala defeated Ka’u 25-22, 25-12, 25-12, and Ka Makani defeated Pahoa 25-14, 25-15, 25-20. The Trojans and Daggers will play for the league’s final berth in the state tournament before both championship games.
