The Department of Water supply has scheduled a fire hydrant flow test between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17th. The hydrant that will be tested is along Railroad Avenue, and will affect customers between Maka’ala Street and East Lanikaula Street, which will also include Kukila Street and all other side roads.

The test may affect water quality for several hours following completion of the test. Water may appear slightly discolored and turbid, and those in the area are asked to store a container of water to drink until water quality returns to normal levels. Also, the department is advising people to keep from washing clothes during this period.

Anyone looking for more information should call Carl Nishimura at 961-8790.
