Teen Science Camps on Hawai‘i Island Begin July 1

The 2019 Science Camp of America’s Hawai‘i Island camp for teens will offer two sessions this summer: Land & Sea and Air & Space.

The Land & Sea Camp will happen July 1 to 10 and take participants from mountains to forests, along shorelines and into the ocean.

Air & Space Camp will follow from July 11 to 20, exploring Maunakea observatories and astronomy, space exploration, rockets and the atmosphere.

Students will meet real-life scientists and explore Hawai‘i Island’s diverse range of environments while snorkeling, stargazing and doing hands-on science.

Students grades 8 to 12 are eligible to attend. Registration will open on Jan. 9, 2019. Scholarships are available. To learn more and sign up, visit www.scicamp.org.
