50,000 orchids rained from the sky to the delight of guests and community members who had come to celebrate the debut of an extensive multi-million dollar renovation, marking the brand’s sixth hotel in Hawai‘i and the only one on the Island of Hawai‘i.

Guests also were able to enjoy lessons in lei making, just one way for the hotel to celebrate and embrace the local culture.
Sunday’s festivities wrapped up the celebratory weekend that included a gala dinner and after party, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society. The weekend ceremonies commenced with a beautiful oli, composed and shared by Grayden Ha’i-Kelly, Director of Activities.
