The Department of Water Supply announced Monday that they will temporarily shut off water service along portions of Manono Street on Wednesday between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Affected areas of Manono Street run from Kekuana’oa to Hualani Streets. All services that run in that area will be affected. According to a department spokesman, an alternating one-lane traffic pattern may be in effect, although it won’t be determined until Wednesday morning.

The department says that they will be doing a waterline connection for GMC Family Partners Commercial Retail Center during that time. The center’s name currently isn’t visible to those driving along the road, but is the name of the dual brown-building strip mall that is currently under construction.

After water is restored to the area, discolored water and trapped air may affect water usage initially.
