Reps. Joy A. San Buenaventura (Puna) and Mark M. Nakashima (Hāmākua) will hold a community meeting on emergency preparedness at the Pāhoa Neighborhood Facility located at 15-2910 Ku‘uhome St. in Puna from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

Guest speakers confirmed to speak will include Hawai‘i County Civil Defense Administrator Talmadge Magno, Director of Hawai‘i Emergency Management Agency Thomas Travis and UH Sea Grant Coastal Hazard Mitigation Specialist Dennis Hwang.

Topics for discussion will range from emergency shelter locations to hurricane preparations and updates regarding the false missile alert.
