The County of Hawai‘i Department of Public Works Highways Division will install a left-turn pocket on Henry Street at the intersection of Palani Road. Work is scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, and is expected to be completed by Tuesday, Feb. 27, weather and construction conditions permitting. No work will occur on the weekend.

Work involves removing the center median on the approach to the intersection and paving over the removed area. A new left-turn pocket leading onto Palani Road will then be installed.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and to drive with caution as heavy vehicles will be in the work zone. Travel in both directions will be provided. Special off-duty police officers will be posted in the area to facilitate traffic movement.
