North Hawaii Community Hospital has been awarded the prestigious American College of Radiology accreditation in mammography.

A radiology center receives American College of Radiology accreditation by displaying the highest quality of practice.

A rigorous peer review is conducted by specialists to assure the department is held to the highest standard. The accreditation is for three years.

“Accreditation lets you know that the department has gone through a rigorous testing process in order to meet the highest national standards, the personnel are well qualified and the equipment is appropriate for the tests and treatments you’ll be receiving,” said NHCH President Cindy Kamikawa. “This accreditation lets you know that we are providing the best quality of care for patients at North Hawaii Community Hospital.”
