Patients at North Hawai‘i Community Hospital will now have access to flat-screen, high-definition televisions in their rooms thanks to the generosity of a donor. In addition, the hospital is now offering enhanced programming with twice the previous number of stations.

“We are happy to be able to offer our patients more choices,” said Arielle Faith Michael, Service Excellence and Holistic Team leader. “Having more programming options and the visual beauty of high-definition can really make a difference to a patient by giving them something else to focus on.”

In addition to the expanded cable programming, the hospital will continue to offer its CARE channel (Continuous Ambient Relaxation Environment) that provides peaceful nature scenes with beautiful music for comfort and relaxation and a new hospital information channel.
