UPDATE: July 31, 2017

On Saturday, July 29, police officers were sent to 33 Hualālai St., in Hilo, on a report that escapee Spencer Feary, 30-years-old, was located in the apartment.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Angie Montgomery, who let officers into her apartment. Feary was located in the shower with Azysalyn Lee-Wai, 23-years-old, who had a no bail warrant. Feary was arrested on a warrant for furlough violation (C17020825) and returned to HCCC per instructions on the warrant.

Hale Nani work furlough inmate Spencer Feary left for work on the morning of Monday, July 10, 2017, and failed to return to the reintegration center by 8:30 p.m. as scheduled.

Hawai‘i County Police were notified.

Feary, 30, is 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.

He has brown hair and brown eyes.

He was serving time for Robbery 2.

His next parole hearing was scheduled for October 2017.

He faces an additional escape charge when found.

Feary is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program. Community custody is the lowest classification status.

Hale Nani, Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center’s reintegration program, is a dorm-style building located in Panaewa.

Hale Nani offers offenders reintegration services and a work release program for sentenced inmates who will be released on the island of Hawai‘i.
