Learn Salsa & Tango at Kahilu Theatre

Angel Prince will offer a six-week series of both salsa and tango evening classes on Thursday evenings from June 23 through Aug. 3 at Kahilu Theatre.

The classes are geared for all levels; no partner is necessary for these classes.

Prince has been teaching salsa and tango for over 15 years (12 on the Big Island).

She is the director of the Kahilu Performing Arts Classes (KPAC) and Prince Dance Theatre.

Prince has a B.A. in Dance and Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Tendencies of Contemporary Dance.

Her training for salsa was completed in New York, and she studied Argentine tango in Buenos Aires.

Salsa Class Enrollment Information
June 29–Aug. 3, Thursdays, 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Levels: beginner/intermediate
Focus: turns, shines, partner connection and musicality
Fee: $75 for entire series, $15 drop-in

Tango Class Enrollment Information
June 29–Aug. 3, Thursdays, 6:45–8:15 p.m.
Levels: beginner/intermediate
Focus: embrace, connection, musicality, and basic and intermediate level step combinations
Fee: $100 for entire series, $20 drop-in
