The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations of West Hawai‘i individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations for its 14th Annual Pualu Awards.

“Pualu” is a Hawaiian word meaning “to work together.”

KKCC has recognized leaders in the community for the past 32 years in various categories—Community
Education, Environmental Awareness, Business Innovation, Lifetime Service, Culture & Heritage, Visitor Industry Marketing and Chamber Member of the Year.

Companies and organizations can nominate others or themselves but must provide specific and concrete examples of how nominees made a difference in West Hawai‘i.

Submissions must also include two letters of recommendation.

All applications must be received by 4 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2017, to be considered.

The Pualu Awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Installation and Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on Friday, June 30, 2017.
